  4. Procedure: overview • Legislation • Risk assessment • Developping mechanical and electronical safety measures • Assembling safety measures • New risk assessment

  5. Procedure • Legislation: prevention officer of the school • Risk assessment - Prevention officers, teachers, pupils - Task analysis on the work place - Check list - Conclusion - Priorities

  6. Procedure • Developping measures • e.g. Protection of the chuck, work piece and chisel with protective hoods; main switch that can be double locked; emergency stop. • Includes different sections

  7. Procedure • Assembling safety measures by the pupils themselves, under guidance of teachers and technical advisors.

  10. Evaluation • 3 interval evaluations by safety officers, teachers and persons from the professional life during the schoolyear: means to (re)direct the project • 1 final evaluation at the end of the year. • Surplus value for the students

  11. Link with professional life • Evaluations • Companies imitate the adaptations • VCA-training for teachers and pupils in collaboration with neighbouring enterprise
