  2. IPM Channel2Channel Calibration • PI: R. Connolly, M. Minty, S. Tepikian • Confirmed that the emittance dependence on beam position at IPM, i.e. separation bumps at IP2 was due to the gain depletion of the MCPs at the center of the measurement aperture

  3. IPM Channel2Channel Calibration Uncorrected data and indicates a vertical beam size increase of 16% or emittance increase of 35% when bump is removed Same data with gain and offset corrections. Now the size change is 5%, about the scatter in shot-shot measurements

Bai • ~40% chromatic beta beat was observed during 250 GeV pp run in 2009 • Two correction techniques: • adjust phase advance between IP6 and IP8: R. Calaga • correct non-linear chromaticity: Y. Luo • Measured on-momentum optics • ~ 20% beta beat(peak) in both rings • Blue beta* Yellow: • first attempt of radial steering killed beam • orbit xmean wasn’t properly zeroed before activating radial steering
