  1. Duomo di S. Corrado, Molfetta. It is a public and religious building located in the North-West of S. Andrea peninsula. In the surrounding area there are the ruins of the wall that sheltered the church from the waves of the sea, the buildings of the ancient village and the bishop’s palace. Liceo Classico L. Da Vinci

  2. Liceo Classico L. Da Vinci The building has a great symbolic meaning. It is the biggest religious building of the old city and it has been the bishop’s see since 1000.

  3. There are two towers in the absidal zone which are full of symbolic elements : towers, emblems of power and superiority. Liceo Classico L. Da Vinci

  4. Inside the building there is a basin embraced by a Saracen with a fish inside: it symbolizes Christ. It is full of symbolic elements : column-bearing lions in absidal window (lion symbolize regality), crosses, interlaced archs, symbol of Bizantine architecture.

  5. There are a lot of single and double-lancet windows, that are a characteristic of Apulian Romanesque style. The walls are square and the domes are octagonal, in axis and of varying heights. This building is closed, heavy , impressive, old and important.
