  1. “Are You Moving Closer to the Kingdom or the Way of Balaam?” (Part 2)

  2. Which Way? • (Matthew 7:13) • "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. (NKJV)

  3. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (2 John 1:9-10) Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; (NKJV)

  4. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (Matthew 9:11) And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" (NKJV)

  5. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (Romans 16:17) Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. (NKJV)

  6. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (2 Timothy 3:5) having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (NKJV)

  7. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (1 Corinthians 5:11) But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person. (NKJV)

  8. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (Galatians 6:1) Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. (NKJV)

  9. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (2 Corinthians 6:15) And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? (NKJV)

  10. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about who they associate with. • (1 Corinthians 5:9-10) I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. (NKJV)

  11. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about their goals. • (1 John 2:15-17) Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (NKJV)

  12. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about their goals. • (Matthew 6:19-20) "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; "but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. (NKJV)

  13. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they tolerate in their home. • (Ephesians 5:23-24) For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. (NKJV)

  14. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they tolerate in their home. • (1 Timothy 3:5) (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); (NKJV)

  15. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about their thoughts. • (Hebrews 4:12) For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (NKJV)

  16. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about their thoughts. • (Joshua 1:8) "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. 19. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they allow their eyes to see. • (2 Peter 2:14) having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. (NKJV)

  20. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they say. • (1 Peter 4:11) If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. (NKJV)

  21. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they say. • (James 4:11) Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. 22. Faithful Christians are not permissive … …about what they say. • (1 Timothy 5:13) And besides they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. (NKJV)

Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things. Yes, you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, Or like one who lies at the top of the mast, saying: "They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I did not feel it.
