  2. Question #1 • The cost in dollars of carpet at Lowes is found by multiplying the area of the room by 12.5 then adding 100. • Write an equation that could be used to find, T, the total cost of “a” square feet of carpet. • How much would 300 square feet of carpet cost?

  3. Question #2 • Aaron has $25 in her savings account and is trying to save enough money to buy a flat screen TV that costs $350. She earns $15 every time she babysits. Write and equation and solve it to determine how many times she would need to babysit to buy the TV.

  4. Question #3 • Amanda is 4 years older than 2 times the age of her brother Joey. The difference between Amanda and Joeys age is 14 years. Write and equation and solve to determine how old Amanda and Joey are.

  6. Question #5 • A rectangle has a length to width ratio of 5 : 2. If the perimeter of the garden is 280 feet, what is the width?
