Let’s Begin • Let’s observe some planaria in petri dishes • Some important things to consider: • Each group will receive 3 planaria • You will need to record baseline data of each individual planaria in spring water over the course of 2 minutes. This is your run-time. • The planaria should remain in the experimental solutions for four minutes prior to line-cross test. • Class Discussion:What is our classroom standard unit for measurement of line crosses? • Design your experimental protocol • Be sure to detox planaria for four minutes in spring water between experiments • Be sure to include a control • No dilution concentration should exceed 40%. What is a dilution? • How should you collect data? Average?
