  9. Keys to winning the 2nd generation • Help them look outward and be responsible for household • ‘This is for you & your household’ – even pre-salvation • Coach them on what to do: ‘Go back and tell your household.’ • E.g. Demoniac • Be willing to go with them (if needed) – e.g. 1.5 generation • Help them identify people to share with in their household • Encourage them to group as you witness to them • Within minutes or hours, do TWO things – FOLLOW & FISH • FOLLOW: BAPTIZE & PREPARE them for persecution • FISH • WHY - Give them VISION (“you & household”) • WHOM - NAME LIST – List their oikos. Identify responders: “Who would be excited about your life change?” “Who would most want to hear?” “Whom is God telling you to speak to?” • HOW - PROCLAMATION – Testimony (“Just tell them what happened” – Not hard!); coach them on contextually appropriate gospel witness

  10. Keys to 2nd Gen • What does the study teach us about getting to 2nd generation? • Holding up the value of the King – including baptism • Go broad to find the POP (you may not have found him yet) – Ecc 11:1-6 • Move from EV to DISC immediately - Casting vision to POP to immediately win (within hours) household – lots of EV • WHY - Vision • WHOM - Name list (household) • HOW - Means • Maintain 3/3 process – not miss the RED/BOLDparts • Persist – give it enough time • Make this your goal! (Ticking clock) • Take a risk – Mt 10:41, Mk 5:19 (entrust him to God)
