  1. South Carolina State Symbols WebQuest Do you know what South Carolina’s State Symbols are? South Carolina has a state symbol for just about everything. Some were made official many years ago and others more recently became official state symbols. One example is Boiled Peanuts, boiled peanuts became the official state snack food in 2006.   2. Task Introduction Task Process Resources Evaluation Treasure Chest Conclusion Today you will be going on a virtual scavenger hunt for some of South Carolina’s state symbols. Your job will explore the links to learn about the selected state symbols and collect clues. You will take the quiz for each symbol to earn clip art to place in your treasure chest to earn Tiger Dollars.

  3. Process Introduction Task Process Resources Evaluation Treasure Chest Conclusion • You will work alone or with a partner but both will need to take the quiz. • 2. Use the online resources to help you find at least 5 clues and something • interesting record the clues in your notebook. • Take the quiz after each section to earn your clip art for that particular symbol and place them in the appropriate box in your treasure chest. • Evaluate your project using the self-evaluation scoring guide provided. • Write a brief reflection in your journal on what you found to be the most interesting state symbol and why. (It can be one that is not included I the WebQuest.)
