Determining My Product

  • Website

    Prior experience with web design, liked the idea of having my own website

  • Book

    Possibly a better format, would allow me to use Blurb


Goals

  • Design an integrated diet and fitness plan

  • Follow the created plan and track progress

  • Create an instructional fitness guide

  • Make the guide user friendly

  • Have my product show all of my work


Challenges

  • Keeping a food journal

  • Time management

  • Finding photographs for my product

  • Capturing months of work in 30 pages


Successes

  • Followed the program that I designed

  • Created and published a fitness guide using Blurb

  • Met all deadlines (so far)


Skills Acquired

  • Learned how to design a fitness plan

  • Learned to keep a food journal

  • Acquired the skills needed to write and organize a book


Discoveries

  • I do not have a future career as an editor

  • Working closely with your mentor is very important

  • Making a book takes time

  • Diet plays a larger role than exercise in determining overall health
