  1. Mrs. Wernikowski “I believe every child is capable of learning, we just have to find their best way of learning. A joke saying of mine is "cuteness fades, intelligence is forever."  Since I teach the young ones, everyone says how cute they are.  Even when they misbehave, more people are apt to excuse it because they are cute.  That is when the saying comes into effect.”

  3. Career Mrs. Wernikowski has been teaching for 20 years. She taught at Thalia Elementary School in Virginia Beach for 14 years and transferred to Three Oaks Elementary when it opened in 2005. She has been at Three Oaks since then. While in college, she worked as a Union Supervisor. After she moved to Virginia Beach, she worked at the Naval Daycare Center until she got a job teaching. She currently teaches K-2 special education.

  6. Favorite and Least Favorite Part of Teaching Favorite: When a child has success. It does not have to necessarily be in school. Success could be being invited to a party for the first time, etc. Least Favorite: The politics that can be involved with teaching.

  7. Personal Life Family: Husband (Rich) Daughter (Morgan) attends ODU Son (Robert) attends Ocean Lakes High School 2 dogs
