  3. Countdown to the Cup • Overview presentation • Discussion of Waiver and Certificate of Authorization process • No licensable events this time around • FSDO-issued Waiver/COA plus AST waivers

  4. Future Cup • Licensable events likely for 2006, definitely 2007 and beyond • Event will still be at airport for 2006, perhaps 2007 • AST, FSDO, ATC, and Airports all played role this year, and will continue to do so in varying amounts henceforth

  5. ITAR • No inputs received from COMSTAC since May meeting • Potential ITAR issues encountered during Countdown planning • Da Vinci capsule and Starchaser engine • No actual issues found – shipping companies handled the paperwork • Still seeking documented inputs . . .

  6. AST R&D Topics • Solicitation for FY 07 AST R&D Topics out • Responses requested by 16 January

  7. Actions • Have “lessons learned” meeting with AST, rest of FAA • Already underway • Continue pursuit of ITAR issues • Supply R&D topics
