  1. Catching the Crowd Catcher Training for the Daytona Bike Giveaway

  2. the 10 Commandments of catchers

  3. Present a positive/Christlike attitude & enjoy yourself • Engage people – don’t just bark out invitations • Do not get tied up in conversation – quickly pass off to the coordinator, those who want to talk • No bait and switch – be honest about what we are doing • Don’t move away from either side of the give-away tent. We should not be “chasing people” or getting in front of other vendor booths. • Do not yell at people. • Do not take photos. • Do not argue or get defensive with negative people • Watch what you watch • Remember, you are engaging in Kingdom work! (Mt. 4:19)

  4. WHAT MAKES A GOOD CATCHER? The late Larry Gibson was perhaps the best “catcher” we have ever had at A Bike Giveaway. He was engaging, kind and always presenting a friendly, non-threatening persona. Larry grabbed the interest of passersby and made them want to stop and see what was going on inside our space.

  5. OTHER TIPS • As a catcher, your job is not to give your testimony in front of the tent. Your job is to invite people to come into the tent. • We should not have more than 4 catchers at any one time. They should stay spread out across the front of the tent. • The booth captain will rotate catchers at their discretion. Don’t take it personal if you are relieved and replaced with someone else. • The bike is a 2019 Harley Low Rider. Winner is responsible for tax, tags, and registration.

  6. See You in DAYTONA!
