  3. top capital-projects items $1.67M London Road reconstruction, storm sewers, paving (Port Albert) $240K resurfacing part of Zion Road $57K environmental assessment for Cransford Line bridge replacement $40K purchase land to widen MacKenzie Camp Road for proper road allowance $25K reconstruct part of St. Helen's Line

  4. blended water-system rates Amberley, Benmiller, Century Heights, Dungannon, Huron Sands, Lucknow $512 flat-rate annual charge for the next six years includes a portion set aside to build a fund for future replacement costs

  5. ACW Official Plan update defines permissible uses of land (agricultural, residential, industrial, etc) incorporates directives from Provincial Policy Statements since 2003 and from Huron County's updated Official Plan draft is on acwtownship.ca website held Open House sessions June 25 & 29 to gather community feedback; not yet added must be approved by County and Province will then update Zoning By-Law to conform

Huron County septic inspection approved by County Council this spring next step is approval by majority of the nine municipalities expected to start in 2012 inspect 14,000+ systems on a 5-year cycle 10 coop students, to be trained as inspectors by the Rural Wastewater Centre at UoGuelph $31/yr per property, added to your tax bill will work with pumpout operators to inspect

  7. wind turbine projects Capital Power GP Holdings : Kingsbridge II 150 1.8mw turbines (270mw) 24th in OPA queue to connect to Bruce power corridor construction expected in 2012, operation in 2013 east of Hwy 21, between Hwy 86 and Nile Road EDP Renewables Canada : Canada 1 & 2 67 3.0mw turbines (200mw) 49th & 50th in OPA queue for Bruce power corridor no indication of timing, assumed to be in very early stage believed to be mainly west of Hwy 21
