  1. Understanding Enterprise Resource Planning Enterprise resource planning is critical for the success of your business. It is a software that can help plan and allocate the resources. It is an integrated software system that enables an organization to manage many aspects of the business such as the back office functions that may have links to technology, services, and human resources. In essence, the enterprise resource planning software can gather product development, manufacturing, sales, and marketing and come up with a unified or single database with an easier user interface for better management experience. For a software to be considered as an enterprise resource planning suite or application, the software must be able to integrate the needs of large businesses, which may have dedicated personnel handling or analyzing data sets towards deployment and to handle the upgrades. In some terms, enterprise resource planning software can be used by small businesses too, the applications are rather simpler and may be customized to a certain small business, industry, or industry vertical. Known as ERP, the software is being used to facilitate the easier flow of information and data between all of the users to benefit a myriad of business functions within an organization. The managed connections can bring better picture on the state of the business for the benefits of the stakeholders. A good ERP is the one that can identify the industry-specific bottlenecks and to provide solutions. In some cases, a great ERP should be able to customize the need to reduce the turnaround times in terms of managing the inventory.
