  1. Greek Mythology What’s Greek Mythology? The ancient Greeks worshipped [respected and admired] number of gods known for their immortality [living forever]. People believe that these gods and godesses live in temples and some priests and priestesses are their prophets [oracles] and mouthpiece.

  2. Adventure Story • The hero is “Alexander the Great” Born in 356 B.C in Pella, the capital of Macedonia, Greece so he’s Greek.

  3. His father is King Philipthe second, King of Macedonia.

  4. His mother is Queen Olympias.

  5. At the age of 13, his father brought Him a tutor called Aristotle; a great Greek philosopher. • Aristotle encouraged Alexander’s interest in other countries and people, Plants and animals.

  6. Alexander studied philosophy and politics. He also received training in sports, physical fitness and warfare. • Alexander’s favourite poem is the Iliad. • Alexander’s favourite horse is Bucaphalus.

  7. At the age of 20, Alexander became King of Macedonia, after the death of his father. Alexander’s dream was to conquer the world. [take Control over foreign lands by force.]
