History • The Forbidden City is located in what is now known as Beijing • The Forbidden City was built between 1,200 and 1,400 years ago. • The Forbidden City was built to protect the emperors • Emperor Yung Lo built the Forbidden city for the rich people • The Forbidden city was built out of gold bricks and other materials

  3. Inside: There are 9,999 rooms in the Forbidden city. It is not only one palace, but has many buildings. It has tons of goldsilver and bronze

  4. Outside • They have courtyards outside • On the outside they have a huge moats to keep out intruders. • They have giant walls that close at night.

  5. The Forbidden City Today Today, the Forbidden City is used as a museum. Many tourist go there to explore and investigate Chinese artifacts.
