  8. PSAT What? Preliminary SAT Measures 3 Areas: Critical Reading, Math, Writing Skills Integral component of the college readiness pathway Why? Improve teaching and learning Prepares students for the SAT and AP placement Provide entry into scholarship programs, including National Merit Scholarship Program (96th percentile) SAT What? Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) 3 Areas: Critical Reading, Math, Writing Skills (4 hrs) Why? Used by all 4 year universities as a requirement for admission When?
