  2. Project Objectives What are we doing? • Providing an automated workforce planning, labor scheduling, and budget platform to ensure compliance and effective utilization of human capital in stores, branches, and distribution centers. What do we want from a Workforce Management tool? • In the short term, we want visibility to our labor drivers and corresponding spend. • Our medium term expectations are that we will obtain additional payroll control and optimization. • Finally, in the long term, we want to leverage payroll while still achieving our customer service promise. 2

  3. Critical Success Factors • Sunset Legacy System • Payroll Budgeting By Man-Hour • My Time application • Kronos application and clock hardware • Pay all Teammates Correctly • Eliminate early punches • Enforce corporate policies (meal, break) • Create Credible Schedules • Improve visibility into schedules and demand drivers • Establish a Centralized Control System • Develop a common operating picture for the field organization • Accurate PTO accountability & measurement • Develop a business case for deploying enterprise solution in 2012

  4. Expected Benefits • Increase Revenue • Align Labor with Demand • Improving the Customer Experience • Avoided Costs • Adherence to Work Rules (meals/breaks, CA, etc.) • Scheduling Over Plan/Budget • Pirated Time • Increased Efficiencies • Automated & Effective Schedule Preparation • Accurate Timecard Processing • Employee Self-Service • Greater Visibility – Reporting “Ultimately it’s about having the right teammate in the right place at the right time and this process will allow teammates to be there for our customers.” -- Mike Broderick, President CARQUEST U.S.

  5. How will it affect me (RDO)? • Better tools to manage your region • Improved visibility into all your stores • Identify issues early, act with the facts • Much easier to review schedules • Enabler for sales growth • Enriched data sets “GPI Technologies has partnered with best-of-breed software vendors Workforce Insight and RedPrairie to implement the new workforce management business process (TeammateTime) to better align teammate needs with customers’ service expectations.” – David McCartney, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

  6. How will it affect me (Store Manager)? • Makes your life easier by simplifying payroll management and schedule creation allowing you and your team to focus on the customer • Provides you with enriched information about your business • Provides platform for tracking/managing teammate time off requests • Enhanced coverage maps

  7. What do store teammates need to know? • The new software will give teammates access to their schedules, the ability to submit time-off requests, and even set their availability to support flexible work schedules. “TeammateTime empowers teammates and helps increase job satisfaction. We look forward to providing this tool to teammates.” -- Steve Gushie, President CARQUEST Canada

  8. How does TmT forecast labor? • TeammateTime is populated with 62 weeks of history • Summarized in 15 minute intervals • It uses the last 10 weeks of data for trend and looks at prior year for seasonal impact • Uses 17 transaction types to determine demand

  9. What about other tasks? • TeammateTime assigns labor for 11 different activities not derived from sales • It prioritizes labor based on job title • Labor assignment is aligned with store procedures TeammateTime schedules meals & breaks according to company policy and applicable state/local/provincial requirements
