  2. WhatisHail?? Hail is a form of precipitation that falls from the sky as pellets of ice.(pellets are small pieces of ice). Some hailstones are as large as grapefruits. Hail is especially damaging to crops. In the central US, where many hail storms are reported each year, delicate wheat and other crops are often ruined. Hail can cause over 1 billion dollars in damages.

  3. HowdoesHail Work?? If there is rain, strong wind can push up the rain higher in the air where it is much colder. So the rain will freeze and change to hail. If there are more stronger winds pushing the rain up the hail will grow bigger.

  4. Hail can affect humans and other animals by possibly causing injury and may cause road conditions to be dangerous. HowhasHailaffectedpeopleslives??
