Background/Objectives • Receive statistically-valid opinions from random sample to guide Village Board and Staff in evaluation and improvement of Village services and long-range plans • Valuable for decisions regarding current or near-term issues • Valuable in establishing next solid waste collection contract

  5. Method • Telephone Recruit • Mail out questionnaires • Telephone Reminder calls • Have respondents drop off/ mail back completed questionnaires, or complete questionnaire on the Internet

  6. Dates • Placement Interviews – Sept 13-18, 2004 • Reminder Calls – Sept 23-Oct 5; Oct 4-20, 2004 • Questionnaires collected until November 8, 2004

  26. Highlights • Glen Ellyn residents volunteered many positive views about the community • They also provided many positive responses about particular topics of interest • There were some negatives noted that could be addressed in the future as necessary
