  2. Set Backs • Lost data so unfortunately no results for today. • The descriptors are recomputing and we should have results early next week.

  3. Key Frames • Multiple extractors are running. • Generates roughly 500 frames per video • Rough estimate of 300 000 frames for the test set • We will start running descriptors on these today.

  4. Histograms • Mentioned last week that we would be doing early fusion. • Due to processing time we will most likely be doing dense-sampling with opponent sift and harris-laplace with rgsift. • Dense sampling should give us plenty of background information which really helps in some categories. • Opponent Sift and RG Sift are the two best descriptors we can generate based on Koen van de Sande's paper and are complementary.

  5. Coming Up • Two weeks left. • Full runs will begin next week. • Write up portion of TRECVID paper.
