She guided us through the project and also gave valuable suggestions for completion of the project.

  5. The Future of the Portable Restroom….TODAY ‘TOLOI’ presents ‘VISHUDDH’, a distinctive composting restroom that will set your operation apart from the competition. ‘TOLOI’ has addressed the relevant needs and expectations of today’s customer and anticipated the same of the future by creating a product of high-end amenities, the toughest material available and the utmost in design and innovation found in any portable restroom. ‘VISHUDDH’ definitely raises the bar in sanitation industry!

  6. About the company… Name: Toloi Pvt Ltd Head Quarter: Delhi Address: 57 BVM, Prit Vihar, N.Delhi

  7. LOCATION OF THE HEADQUARTER Address:57 BVM, Preet Vihar, Delhi The head office will be leased for a period of 10 yrs. Cost of office on lease basis: RS.100000 p.a

  8. What is a Composting restroom? • An average person urinates about four to five times a day. • A sanitation facility in which suitable conditions for the composting process • are carefully induced with the purpose of producing a compost as the end • product. Its functioning and operation • ‘Vishuddh’ has a compost cover and ventilation pipes described in the above models, but it works by applying a very different approach. • A large compost bin is housed inside the lower portion of • the toilet. The toilet is used until the bin is approximately • 3/4 full. • The top of the toilet is then removed and the bin is • removed from the unit and moved outside for further • composing.

  9. When you raise the upper seat on the toilet you will see a "clam shell" cover called • the compost cover. • This hides any waste from view and automatically opens when the seat is depressed • allowing the waste to be safely deposited into the compost chamber below. • Inside the compost chamber is a Starter Mix with a base of peat moss and pine • wood shaving. • After use, a small amount of the ‘Mix’ is added to the toilet and the upper seat is • lowered. • A mixer automatically starts to turn mixing the waste aerating the material already inside • the chamber. This process creates an aerobic decomposition. • This air is circulated throughout the composting chamber allowing for maximum • absorption of oxygen by the material inside the toilet. The more oxygen that is supplied • to the aerobic bacteria, the more thoroughly and faster the waste will be transformed • into humus. • Enzymes are used to secrete ‘odour traps’ which help in creating a clean environment. • Air circulation through the unit occurs due to the natural convection of air through • the ventilation pipe. • The waste in then discharged into garden areas or any fertile land near the site.

  10. Some design considerations Components the system needs:- . An adequately sized container . Ventilation, preferably a heated air flow, to assist decomposition and reduce odour . A good air flow through the solid material to promote aerobic conditions . Some way of dealing with excess fluid . A means of extracting and using the product of the composting, and . An easily cleaned, well ventilated and pleasant facility for the users.
