  2. Tonight’s Focus Chapter Updates. Chapter Website Migration. Recent online survey of our Chapter members. Resources to help you cope with the current situation in the job market. And, our own Speed Networking event!

  3. Chapter Updates If you are not yet a member of the IIBA International, check out their website for information on the benefits of becoming a member, and information on how to join: www.theiiba.org/am/. The IIBA celebrated it’s 5th Anniversary in October 2008. Follow the link on the IIBA home page to learn about upcoming IIBA Anniversary events in 2009. The CBAP Study group’s next meeting will be on February 25th. Email smitasahat@hotmail.com for information.

  4. Chapter Website Migration A pilot is currently underway, and a staggered rollout will occur from February 23rd through April 30th for all Chapter sites. Our Chapter site is scheduled for conversion during the period of March 23rd thru April 6th. What’s changing?: A new service provider and new contact management software for the sites. There should be no down time for the conversion.

  5. 2008 Event Feedback Survey Results Summary results from our recent online survey……  • There were 30 respondents to the survey. • The large majority of the responses agreed that the meetings were good and pertinent to their job. • All agreed that the speakers were excellent. • There was some desire for more interactive participation. • The majority of respondents were satisfied with the meeting facilities.  Some respondents specified that inconvenience and parking concerns prohibited them from attending at the VCU location.

  6. 2008 Event Feedback Survey Results Some of your suggestions were: • Move our Chapter meeting so that it is not at the same time as the PMI meeting as some members belong to both organizations. • Hold a Job Fair. • Have roundtable discussions of problems BA’s face and ways to solve them or other topics.  This way there is a topic to discuss but also networking. • Provide Benefits of/Alternatives to CBAP. We will continue to gather your feedback after each meeting. Please pick up a form at the back table.

  7. Networking Opportunities Many of you have felt the impacts of the current economic situation. The Greater Richmond Technology Council (GRTC) is sponsoring a Networking and Outreach Workshop. When: March 3, 2009 , 9 AM – 3 PMWhere: The Sheraton-West, 6624 W. Broad St. Registration is not required for this event.

  8. Networking Opportunities This is not a Job Fair! It is a community-focused event targeted at facilitating networking and information sharing between members of the local IT community. A similar event was held in December. For more information, visit the GRTC website: www.richtech.com/events/technow.html.
