  1. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Part Name : Carrier Final Drive (ETR 1025) Supplier : Shriram Foundry Ltd. Quality Problem : Sand Drop near Oil gallery & Gas hole at Slant face (2 Nos.Dt.11th June 07)

  2. ROOT CAUSE :1) Sand drop near oil gallery dur to loose mold sand at this area.2) Gas hole at slant face observed due to excess moisture % in sand.

  3. CORRECTIVE ACTIONS : All the parts at Spicer (180 Nos.) checked for this defect and found OK. All the team members are made aware of the final consequences of the problems at customer end. Final inspectors are made aware of this defect. Actions taken on : 15/07/07.

  4. EFFECTIVENESS OF CORRECTIVE ACTIONS TAKEN : % Rejection Nil for this defect after corrective action. No complaint for this defect after corrective Action from 20th Dec.06.
