  1. Solids, Liquids and Gasses By Myre and William

  2. Gasses • Gasses are particles that float from earth to the atmosphere and its particles go around to fill every place in a container and when the they are open they will go to every space around. • Unlike liquids gas particles are widely separated from each other. • These are some of the gasses that float to the atmosphere : • Carbon Dioxide, Oxygen, Helium and Petroleum Gas

  3. Liquids • A liquid is able to flow and take the shape of a container. Some liquids resist compression, while others can be compressed. • Unlike a gas, a liquid does not disperse to fill every space of a container, and maintains a fairly constant density. • The density of a liquid is usually close to that of a solid, and much higher than in a gas. • Here are some of the liquids: • Water, Acid, Alchahol, Lava and Oil

  4. Solid • A solid is a form of matter that can only be one shape. • Unlike a liquid, a solid can not form the shape of the container it is in, nor does it expand to fill the entire volume like a gas because the atoms in a solid are tightly packed together. • Here are some of the solids: • Glass, Steel, Plastic, Metal and Wood

  5. What is Matter? • Matter is a term which all objects in the world are made of. Typically, matter includes atoms and other particles which have mass. • A common way of defining matter is anything that has mass and occupies volume. • Matter is commonly said to exist in four phases: • Solid, Liquid, Gas and Plasma

  6. Were You Listening? Now we will ask you some questions: • 1. Is Lava a Liquid or a Plasma? • 2.Are humans solids, liquids, gasses or All of them? • 3.Guess whether the next image is a solid, liquid, gas or non of them?

  7. A video to end the presentation • Video…..
