  • In-State: $4,012per semester (charged for first 12 hours only)

  • Out-of-State: $10,984 per semester (charged for first 12 hours only)

  • UT Online classes are $336 an hour for in-state and $364 an hour for out-of-state students, no cap


  • All billing is e-billing unless you request paper billing

  • 1st bill for Fall will be about the

  • last week of July

Touch-Net offers various options for you to manage payments, refunds, and deposits. You will notice all options are on the “Ribbon” for you to choose from: My Account, Payments, Payment Plans, eBills, eDeposits, andeRefunds.

NOTE: Before going further you will need to set up a payment method by linking either a checking account or a credit card to TouchNet,

Payment Plan

  • Four Part Payment Plan – each payment is ¼ of the balance due.

  • The first payment will be one fourth of the balance due, plus a $30 deferment fee

  • The dates of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th payments are not yet established.

  • Detailed instructions are on the Bursar Website at: www.utm.edu/bursar

Confirmation of Enrollment

  • Every student must complete the confirmation process, even if Financial Aid/Scholarships cover the full balance, by 5:00 pm

  • August 19, 2014

    • Step-by-step instructions are shown in the “How to Pay Fees” button at www.utm.edu/bursar.

Excess Financial Aid=Refund

  • Any excess aid will be refunded to the student by check or electronic deposit to the student’s bank account

  • E-Refunds – Refund to your bank account; usually a few days faster than paper checks.

  • Banner/Online Payments & Deposits

  • If you do not sign up for e-refunds, come to the Bursar Office to pick up your refund check

  • 1stFall Refund is the first week of classes

Fee Waiver/Discount Forms

  • Each term fee waivers must be completed and submitted to the Bursar Office to receive the fee waiver.

  • Most State employees are eligible, check with your Human Resources or Payroll Office to see if you are eligible.

Federal Perkins Loan

The Federal Perkins Loan is a low interest (5%), long-term loan to help pay for your educational expenses such as tuition, fees, room and board and books. These loans are made to undergraduates through the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. They are awarded based on need and are awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. Persons apply by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Book & Computer Advances

  • Students must have financial aid funds in excess of their tuition and fees.

  • The advanced funds are applied to the student’s Skyhawk Card.

  • No interest and no fees

  • The amount for the book store is $750and$1,250 for the computer store.

  • Students can obtain an estimate of additional costs from the UTM Bookstore or Computer Store . Provide the estimate to our Customer Service windows to increase your advance
