Statistics 2012 – Final Data • Revision of numbers provided in Paphos: • less total claims respect to 2011 (7,574,787) due mainly to Greece (-40,000) Spain (-20,000) • less total OTSC respect to 2011 (403,883 i.e. rate OTSC/claims = 5,33%)due mainly to Poland (-60000),Italy (-40000), Romania (-32000) • less total CwRSrespect to 2011 (307,647= rate 76,1%) due mainly to Poland (-40000),Italy (-40000), Romania (-28000)

Campaign 2013 – Forecastfigures Revision of numbers provided in Paphos: • EU claims reduction trend(-34000 respect to 2012) but • OTSC rate increasing (to 6,1% but rate of CwRS -1,6%) Remarks: • Italy is the sole MS applying art 31 (a) in 2013 (rate 1,66%) • Greece increases dramatically OTSC rate (5,7%->10%) • UK NI increases dramatically CwRS rate (13%-> 53%) • Finland has a CwRS pilot site…again in the RS arena!

Common Technical Specifications 2013 No updates respect to CTS 2012 as • No progress in ‘extrapolation of control results’ issue (Art. 33 REG (EC) No 1122/2009) • No progress in ‘linkage OTSC claims & LPIS QA RP samples’ issue (Art. 6.2(g) REG (EC) No 1122/2009) • Single tolerance dilemma still there • Available on Wikicap – possible on-the-fly pdf file (and print)

New CwRSstrategies in place Established and expanding new strategy: • DK : double VHR on all 10 sites • HR: double VHR on all 8 sites • DE: double VHR on 4 sites • MT : double VHR • HU: double VHR on 1 site Other new strategies (test sites): • HU: 1 test site stereo 3-D image (1 VHR product) • DE: 1 test site 2 VHR + HR

Web Statistics DB – Upgrade 2013 • Objective: a single database for • Image request (octoberyear ‘n-1’) • Statisticsprovision (planning & final) to JRC (march and octoberyear ‘n’ ) • Statisticprovision to DG AGRI (year ‘n+1’ ) (Art. 84 - REG (EC) No 1122/2009)tbdwith AGRI • Rationale: • provide a single (and reliable) framework to insert data about planning (= images requests) and results (= statistics) for EC (AGRI + JRC) needs • simplifyand standardisecommunication EC - MSs • Establishclear and workabledeadlines • Guaranteeconsistency of information • Provide a flexible data (and trends) interpretationtool How: • Automated messaging service incl. request and deadline reminders and warnings • Optimised displaying of data (e.g.viaautomatedproduction of tables and thematicmaps)
