  6. Finding Empirical Research in PsycINFO Empirical Study: A study based on facts, systematic observation, or experiment, rather than theory or general philosophical principle. For an empirical study, one designs an experiment &/or observes variables under carefully controlled conditions or interviews people first & then analyses the data obtained in order to determine the effects of the variables.
