  3. WARNING Revision is probably NOT going to be fun but it WILL be important. It will also involve you doing quite a bit of work under time constraint.

  4. Overview (and really, you should all know this by now) You are expected to • respond to a situation • write in an appropriate tone and format • fulfill the objectives stated You are graded on • language • fulfilling of objectives with appropriate tone and format

  5. Marking Scheme Task Fulfillment: • Clear for intended audience • All points used and amplified • Format entirely appropriate • All information is fully relevant • Register / Tone consistent and appropriate • Interesting

  6. Types of Question • The choice question • asks you to choose between two or more choices • provides criteria to base your choice on • expects you to justify your choice

  7. Types of Question • The information question • provides you with information from various sources • expects you to select the appropriate information and use it in your writing • expects you to elaborate on the information given
