  3. ENGLISH EMSA EXAM • THERE WILL BE TWO EXAMS IN ENGLISH • READING EXAM – 80 MINUTES • WRITING EXAM – 35 MINUTES • THERE WILL BE A BREAK BETWEEN THE EXAMS

  4. READING EXAM- TIME • 80 MINUTES • NO BREAKS DURING THE EXAM

  5. EXAM - EQUIPMENT • MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PENCIL AND AN ERASER FOR THE READING EXAM. • IN CASE YOU MAKE A MISTAKE RUB OUT YOUR ANSWER COMPLETELY • AND SHADE THE BUBBLE YOU WANT

  6. READING EXAM - FORMAT • THE EXAM HAS 10-12 PASSAGES • EACH PASSAGE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY ONE TO FOUR QUESTIONS • THE EXAM HAS A TOTAL OF 50 QUESTIONS • EACH QUESTION HAS FOUR POSSIBLE ANSWERS • YOU HAVE TO SHADE THE CORRECT ONE

  12. You need to double check each answer if you finish the paper early, to be sure all questions were answered. • تحتاج الي مراجعة كل إجابة إذا قمت ا بلانتهاء من الورقة في وقت مبكر ٬ للتأكد من أن جميع الأسئلة قد تمت إجابتها.

  13. Look out for key words when scanning the reading paragraphs. They will help you find the answers. • أبحث عن الكلمات الرئيسية عند المرور علي فقرات القراءة . وسوف تساعدك هذه الكلمات على العثور على الإجابات.

  14. Check if there is any emphasis in the questions. Eg. Is an arrow pointing to a picture? Is a word in italics or underlined? If so, that is where you will find help to get the answer. • تحققمما إذا كان هنالك أي تركيز في الأسئلة . على سبيل المثال. ه ل يشير السهم إلى صورة؟ ه ل الكلمة مكتوبة بخط مائل أو مخططة؟ إذا كان الأمر كذلك ٬ فان هذا هو المكان الذي يمكن ان تجد فيه مساعدة للحصول على الجواب.

  15. If you are not sure of the answer, one will be an obviously wrong one. • Eliminate that answer first, and work from there, eliminating the wrong ones until you make the best choice. • إذا لم تكون متأكد من الإجابة ٬ سوف تكون إحدي الإجابات هي الإجابة الخاطئة. قوم بمسح هذه الإجابة اولا ٬ وابدأ العمل من هنا ٬ وامسحي الإجابة الخاطئة حتى يمكنك تحقيق أفضل خيار.

  16. If you are not sure of the answer, read ahead to the next question and answer and see if a clue can be found there. • إذا لم تكون متأكد من الإجابة ٬ قم ق براءة العنوان على السؤال التالي و الإجابة عليه ٬ ومعرفة ما اذا كانت • ا ف لكرة يمكن أن تكون موجودة هناك.

  17. If you see a group of questions under a diagram or paragraph, read the questions first, then look at the picture or writing above for the answers. • إذا رأيت مجموعة من الأسئلة تحت مخطط أو فقرة ٬ اقرأ الأسئلة أولا ٬ ثم انظر إلى الصورة أو الكتابة أعلاه للحصول على الأجوبة.

  18. Don’t rush. If a question seems too hard, leave it until the easy ones are done first, and then go back to it. Try your best, but if you don’t know, just make your best guess. Never leave a question unanswered. • لا تتعجل. إذا كان السؤال يبدو صعبا للغاية ٬ اتركيه حتى تقوم بالإجابة علي الأسئلة السهلة أولا ٬ ثم تعود إليه.حاول القيام أ بفضل ما لديك ٬ ولكن إذا كنت لا تعرف٬ فقط قوم بعمل أفضل تخمين. لا تترك اي اسئلة بدونالرد عليها أبدا.

  19. If you run out of time, try to complete as many as possible, guessing if you have to. • إذا نفد الوقت ٬ حاول إنجاز أكبر قدرممكن ٬ خمن إذا كان ع ي لك ذلك.

  20. Remember, this test is important to show what you understand and can do! • تذكر ٬ هذا الاختبار مهم لاظهار ما قمت بإستيعابه وما يمكنك القيام به!
