What does a School Site Coordinator do? • Seek and know any volunteer opportunities at your school • Ways volunteers can be used individually or a group • Meet volunteers before they begin volunteering • Introduction, Tour of school, Bathroom, Parking, etc.) • Act a liaison between the school staff, District Volunteer Coordinators, and volunteers • Match students with tutors/mentors • Place volunteers with a duty & volunteer schedule • Communicate with volunteers about schedule changes and/or student absences OKCPS School Site Coordinator Training 2012
