  2. The sloganswe use for advertising our idea of the webchurch are: The web is an operating environment, not a kit of facilities or tools. If we are present at web, we are present at people’s lives. ”The church of presence.”

  3. Spiritual life in Internet - webchurch Means essentially the same congrecational life that is realized and carried out in everyday parish life ►we didn’t use at all the term virtual, because in Finnish the interpretation means false reality and unreal experiences Is based mainly on actual interaction and communication between the members and the workers of the church. ►the non-interactive material is in supporting role

  4. The goal of the spiritual interactive services is that in 2015 • every parish has the possibility to use spiritual interactive services in their parish life ►In their own website or in the church portal • the church members are able to find support for their spiritual life also in web ►They know they can meet church members and workers on-line every day

  5. Two lines The aims are • to courage church members and workers to join the web communities that allready exists ► the ’negative’ interpretation of our Freedom of Religion Act sets some limits to that aim • to maintain our own spiritual interactive webservices ► guarantees in a better way the ethical quality of interactive services

  6. Schedule • 2007 • First projects start (f.ex. interactive services for young adults and for youth work) • Competitive bidding of technical solutions • The group for web-theology • 2008-2012 • The next projects start (f. ex. the parental interactive services, web church services, extension of web pastoral care) ►The futher education project for 4000 church workers begins

  7. Finances • The further education project for 4000 workers; 200 000 euros in 2008-2012 • The technical solutions; 350 000 euros in 2007-2010 • 8-10 person-work-years in the Church Council for co-ordination in 2007-2012

  8. Current theological questions and challenges • Creating ”the everyman’s theology” is in a way in the essence of the Lutheran tradition. The church-wikipedia and interactive content production means, that the official organs of the church can’t control the theological teaching in the same way that we are used to. • What is interactive experiencing of the Holy in web? What is the the order and form for interactive e-worship?
