DQM for physics data Current EWK contact to CMS Physics Validation Team (PVT): Monika Grothe MC production validation: Contributors to validation of September 09 preproduction from EWK: Maria Cepeda for samples with muons ThiagoTomei for W/ZnjetsAlpgen samples LiisRebane for samples with taus Needed: All end-users of samples need to take responsibility in validating them Quick turn-around in everybody’s interest, without preprod validation production Of full statistics MC samples won’t go ahead

DQM for EWK PAG: • The quickest and simplest way to look at data ! • Already available in DQM offline GUI: • DQM/Physics/EWKMuDQM-- Maria Cepeda • Monitors effect in data of cuts of inclusive W/Z reconstruction in muon channel • Will go in with 3.5.x: • DQM/Physics/EWKMuLumiDQM-- Michele De Gruttola, Maria Cepeda • Plots of Z/W (transverse) mass spectra, which can be combined outside of DQM • for the purpose of measuring luminosity • Additional modules we aim to get in for 3.5.x: • EwkElecDQM -- Jessica Leonard, Monika Grothe • EWKTauDQM -- LetiziaLusito, Joshua Swanson
