  2. Catholic Intellectual Experience • -The Catholic Intellectual Experience gives reason to being human and how our intellectual journey leads to God • -A way to understand ourselves as spiritual beings

Fighting Poverty With Faith • “Fighting Poverty with Faith is a nationwide, interfaith movement to cut domestic poverty in half by 2020.” • Mission: “Every day, faith organizations serve individuals in need within our communities. But our efforts to sustain our brothers and sisters living in poverty must be complemented with a serious plan of action from our political leaders to reduce the number of needy.” • This is done through many different services

  4. Comparison • The Catholic Intellectual Tradition; Reason and faith exist in mutual support • Serving those who are in need • Building a interfaith movement • Making communities aware • Call for support from political leaders

Comparison • Human Existence has Meaning • CIT affirms that human existence can be found • meaning exists at an ultimate level (God) • The discovery of the meaning is satisfying • Poverty Simulation provides participants with an opportunity to role-play • helps discover meaning of people in poverty's human existence
