  4. Refusal Skills - No thank you. I don’t smoke. My coach would not be happy! Strategies that help you say no to unhealthful activities • Say “No” in a firm voice • Explain why. • Suggest an alternate activity • Use appropriate body language • Walk away if necessary

  5. What do you do if trouble continues? • Take time to calm down • Think before speaking • Speak calmly • Listen attentively • Brainstorm a win-win solution Use conflict resolution
