Who we are The Young Americas Business Trust (YABT) is an international nonprofit corporation that works in cooperation with the Organization of American States (OAS) We promote and implement programs that encourage entrepreneurship among young people in the Americas in order to combat poverty and seek better opportunities for youth.

  3. What is TIC Americas? The Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas is a platform of opportunities available to all young entrepreneurs in the Americas and globally to create and strengthen business ideas. TIC Americas is a a business competition that goes beyond the development of business plans to incorporate follow-up, mentorship, international visibility and incubation, among other benefits. The Finals will be held prior to the OAS General Assembly, the annual meeting of OAS Ministers’ of Foreign Affairs

Intention TIC Americas Finals aims to gather successful entrepreneurs and promising young innovators from the Western Hemisphere to: • Provide entrepreneurs with necessary tools to grow their business by exposing them to services for startups • Connect entrepreneurs with potential investors/customers • Build/strengthen a network of future business leaders to foster regional trade • Broaden brand awareness of products that attract and appeal to young entrepreneurs

  5. Target Group and Demographics Young people from North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean between 13-36 years old who have a business idea or own a business

Event Overview - Activities Tuesday, May 31, 2011- El Salvador Day Conferences for Local Young People ‐ (1300 people)  Wednesday, June 1, 2011 - Finalists Training Day  Training: Elevator Pitch, Business Plan Review –  (200 people)  Teams and Other Exhibitors set up their booths  Thursday, June 2, 2011  - Judging, Expo, and Opening Reception Finalists Expo, Judging, Opening Reception  Friday, June 3, 2011  - Conferences and Awards Ceremony  Conferences/Workshops (1300 people)  Awards Ceremony – Amphitheater (6000 people)   Celebration Party – Venue TBC 

  8. Incentives All sponsors’ logos and corporate information will be displayed on printed material (flyers, agendas, publications, etc), websites, and e-blasts. Additionally, logos –size according to the amount of the contribution- will be included in the signage and banners within the event venue. Platinum sponsors will have a dedicated booth and promotional models to give away product samples Sponsors will have the opportunity to interact with OAS authorities, and other private sector representatives. Sponsors could also promote their cooperation to the public through their own web pages or press campaigns.

Public Recognition by YABT and OAS as a social responsible business in the young people growing market of the Americas. YABT works according to the OAS initiatives and objectives that promote adequate governability and social and economic development.

Young people from 97 countries in the world visited www.ticamericas.net Total Impact in Numbers: 5,209,687 Internet: 3,707,395 Websites, bulletins, newsletters, emailing, social networks, videos Prints: 669,750 Magazines, flyers, agendas, newspapers Events: 474,192 YABT workshops, videoconferences, seminars, live conferences Radio and TV: 358,350 Numbers indicate amount of people reached between October 1, 2009 to June 1, 2010
