DMLF-Irr 26-28 July 2011 Conclusion • Concrete solutions and consolidated action plans are recommended to be put forth to each AMS for consideration and eventual implementation • Closer cooperation should be forged among AMS in the areas of experience sharing through various means • Success stories and exchange programs • Strengthening of legal and policy frameworks • Improvement of irrigation efficiency • There is a need to promote community and farmers’ participation and undertaking capacity building and institutional reform • Special attention should be given to water conflict management

  18. DMLF-Irr 26-28 July 2011 Further Action • The results of the Workshop i.e. identified problems, proposed solutions, and suggested action steps should be proposed for the AWGWRM’s review, comment, and possible upward endorsement to the ASEAN Senior Officials on the Environment.
