GEORGE MALLEY • George Malley is an ordinary man transformed by extraordinary events. • On the night of his 37th birthday, George is knocked to the ground by a mysterious, blinding light and suddenly develops amazing abilities.  • With a new found knowledge, George astounds everyone in town.  • but when his incredible powers cause his closest friends to turn away, George comes to realize that this experience has changed him and the lives of everyone around him forever. 

  3. PHENOMENON AND THE GOSPEL OF MARK • Phenomenon best explains the suffering misunderstood and ridiculed Jesus.  • After George has this experience of light he is struggling to figure out what is happening to him as he truly discovers his identity, mission, purpose in life.  • On this journey, he wants to share his ideas and help as many people as possible.  • However, the members of his own hometown are afraid of George and have made their own conclusions about him and cannot listen to his truth.  • The FBI agents want to silence George because they are threatened by his special abilities.  • After his death the people come to an understanding and appreciate and treasure his memory as his spirit lives on in them.

  8. LET’S GET ACADEMICAL? • when you put your paper together i want you to focus on explaining the biblical quotes you selected. • your conclusion should include your reaction to the movie and what you learned about scripture by watching the movie through the Biblical lens!!  

  9. THE PARABLEOF THE TREES • The largest living organism is a grove of Aspen trees in Colorado. They thought they were disconnected separate, but in fact they were connected with the same root system. That is not unlike us!!! • What is the moral message here???
