Come to Cranston Senior Services & BE A MOVIE CRITIC FOR JUST ONE NIGHT!...________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________“You Be the Judge” Night presented by the RI International Film Festival Tuesday, June 3 - beginning at 6:00 p.m. hosted by Cranston Senior Services *Free & open to the public* Last year, over 2,400 films were submitted to the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF). The reputation of this annual festival continues to grow as filmmakers & audiences from around the world spread the word about RIIFF. It is the largest film festival in New England & one of only a handful worldwide that is a qualifying event for the Academy Awards ("Oscars"). "You Be The Judge" is a unique opportunity for YOU to help the RI International Film Festival select the best films for screening at RIIFF 2008 (being held in Newport, RI, this August). Throughout the year, RIIFF organizes special film screenings & invites YOU to be a festival judge for the night! Your comments will be recorded & used in helping the RIIFF determine which films “make the cut.” No experience necessary; just be prepared to sit back & enjoy – we’ll be watching an eclectic mix of movie shorts, documentaries, animations, local, and foreign films. Doors open at 5:45 pm – refreshments served. Reserve your seat, 401/780-6000. Walk-ins welcome while seats last.
