  1. *TIENES 5 MINUTOS* • Objective: • I can say and recognize classroom expressions • Vocab/Ideas: • Classroom expressions from green sheet (review) • Vámonos: • Take out your homework. Add to your homework 5 new words that you have already learned and be ready to turn in your homework.

  2. Organization time! • Each person needs to collect one folder • Write your Last Name, First Name LEGIBLY on the tab with a blue or black pen • Each person needs a popsicle stick • Write your FIRST and LAST names ONLY on the popsicle stick in a marker

  3. Ball Game • We will pass the ball around the classroom • Wherever your right thumb lands is the phrase you will read and act out • If the person acts out the phrase correctly, we will give them snaps, if not they will pass the ball to the next person

  4. Fly Swatter Game • Two at a time (I will draw names from the cup) you will come to the board and take a fly swatter • The board is covered with many different Spanish phrases • I will say a phrase in English, and you will try to beat the other person to hit it with your swatter • If time allows we will also play the Spanish version

  7. Exit Ticket • May I use the bathroom? • May I sharpen my pencil? • How do you say? • Can you repeat?

  8. Tarea • Teach someone in your household at least 5 classroom phrases in Spanish (they can be funny or useful!) • Make sure to practice the correct pronunciation! • On a piece of paper write down the phrases and have them sign that you taught them how to say those phrases

  9. Organization time! • Each person needs to collect one folder • Write your Last Name, First Name LEGIBLY on the tab with a blue or black pen • Put your three signed forms (Parent Letter, Student Letter, Survey Form) inside the folder (only the bottom portion, raise your hand if you need scissors to cut the bottom off) • THINK – PAIR – SHARE • What phrases you need to know in the classroom

Frases Úties • Each person needs a copy of the green “Frases Útiles” page to go in the front of your binder • Keep it in your binder for a reference • Make sure to use the Spanish to ask questions in class • Everyone will stand up for our activity • I will read the Spanish phrase out loud, then we will all repeat it and try to act it out- we want them to hear us in French class!
