  3. Saturday morning blood tests at Basildon Hospital APPOINTMENT ONLY SERVICE From 4 January 2014, all Saturday morning blood tests will be by appointment only Appointments from 8.05 am – 10.45am To book appointment call 01702 422555 (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)

AVOID THE Q – BOOK APPOINTMENTS AND ORDER YOUR REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLINE If you are interested in this service, please ask our reception team how to sign up for online services.  Please ensure that you bring TWO forms of ID when you register. • One with Photograph (e.g. Passport or Driving License) • One with Address (e.g. Credit/Debit card or Utility Bill - not older than 6 months old)

If you have a positive pregnancy test and wish to have your baby at Basildon University Hospital, you can now contact a midwife direct without having to see your GP first. Time to Learn - Sharing Good Practice This practice and many other practices in the South Essex area will be CLOSED for the Whole afternoon and evening on the following dates to take part in a scheme for all practice staff to develop and update their professional skills and knowledge. UPCOMING TIME TO LEARN DATES: • Tuesday, 1st April 2014 • Tuesday, 13th May 2014  • Tuesday 3rd June 2014  • Tuesday 1st July 2014 • Tuesday 2nd September 2014  • Tuesday 7th October 2014 • Tuesday 4th November 2014 Extended hours clinics on time to learn Tuesdays will be moved to Mondays and Wednesdays at both surgeries the same week.   14. Text Messaging Service Our practice sends SMS message reminders to notify patients of appointments they have booked or changes to your appointments. If you do not wish to receive this service please contact our reception staff.  If your mobile telephone number has changed please let us know as soon as possible.
