  2. Ordinals • Come before the noun • Accents on décimo (10th) , séptimo (7th) • Agree in gender and number with the noun they modify • Primero and tercero drop the –o before a singular masculine noun (primer piso) • *Review PPN p. 203-205, 211-213 for examples

  3. Acabar de • To talk about what you’ve just done, what you recently completed • Conjugate acabar (regular –ar verb), add de, add infinitive • *Review PPN p. 226 Act 3, 227 Act 2 for examples

  4. 1st Singulars • To form all regular 1st person singular (yo form): • drop infinitive ending (-ar/-er/-ir) and add –o • Irregulars: anything other than just adding –o: • HACER HAGO • DECIR DIGO • DAR DOY • PONER PONGO • TRAER TRAIGO • VENIR VENGO • SALIR SALGO • ESTAR ESTOY • SER SOY • IR VOY • TENER TENGO *Review PPN p. 223-225

  5. Commands (mandatos) • Affirmative= do something! (as opposed to negative: don’t do this!) • Forming a command: use 3rd person singular form (-a, -e) • ex: ¡Saca la basura! • ¡Barre el suelo! • There are 8 irregular commands to be aware of: • HACER HAZ SALIR SAL • IR VE PONER PON • SER Sé TENER TEN • DECIR DI VENIR VEN • *Don’t get IR and VENIR confused (ven v. ve) • *Review PPN p. 226-228
