  1. Prelim Preparation • The prelim paper will consists of four questions; two on Skills and Techniques (Badminton) and two on Structures, Strategies and Composition (Basketball) • Choose ONE question from Skills and Technique and ONE question from Structures, Strategies and Composition.

  2. Assessment Preparation • Each Higher question will have four parts (a, b, c and d) and be marked out of 20. • Each Int 2 question will have five parts )a, b, c, d, and e) and be marked out of 20. • Higher will have 1hr 40mins and Intermediate 2 have 1hr 25mins.

  3. Types of Questions • There tend to be two types of Course examination questions. There are those where the process is clearly apparent from the question’s wording. In these questions you should be able to see how the different parts of the question link to the four stages involved in the Cycle of Analysis,

  4. Types of Questions Conti... • Next, there are questions where the content of the question is much more prominent. In answering these questions ensure that the content of your answer links to relevant Analysis of Performance processes as often as possible.

  5. Improving Your Writing Skills • Speaking with other students and teachers about performance-related ideas • Using diagrams, graphs and statistics to explain performance • Completing assessment answers using correct grammar and presentation

  6. Plan Your Answer • Try to start with a paragraph plan where thinking and recording key points results in an answer plan which links directly to the four learning outcomes – • Investigating • Analysing • Developing • Reviewing and Evaluating
