  2. Who is the Audience: • Human Resources • Supervisor • Colleagues Resume

  3. What do you want the Audience to do? • Hire me Resume

  4. Technical Expertise – Courses, Experience, Projects Communication Skills – Grammar, Layout Teamwork – Projects, Activities Commitment - Objectives Resumes

  5. RESUME XXXXXXXX Name XXXXXXXXXX Permanent Address XXXXXXXXXXXXXX ObjectiveTo apply for an On-Campus job. Education 2007-2011 Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (www.vit.edu), Upper Indira Nagar, Pune, Maharashtra, India Completed four years of the engineering program (Instrumentation & Control) with an aggregate of 76.95%. Ranked among the top 5 in a class of 70 in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of Engineering. Coursework Basic Electrical Engineering, Basic Electronics Engineering, Electronic Devices & Circuits, Digital Electronics, Microcontroller & Applications, Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Operating System, Embedded Systems ProjectCode Compression (Final year project-in progress) Objective: Compressing the code used in an application which results in reduced code size Technique to be used: Instruction Splitting followed by Huffman Coding Examples

  6. Advantages of compression: • Less memory required to store the code • Better power optimization due to reduced memory size • Reduced device size due to reduction in memory size • Computer Languages Completed a certificate course in C programming with ‘A’ grade from • Seed InfoTech, Pune • Conversant with VB and PLC Programming languages • Extracurricular activities 1. Cultural: • 1. Mood Indigo (Mantra) - Played Drums in National • Competition ‘Mantra’ held at IIT, Powai. (Dec. 2009) • 2. Youthopia- Played Drums in State Level Competition • 3. Vishwakarandak- Played Drums in college Competition • 4. Played in an Orchestra for Variety Entertainment • Program. • 2. Social: 1. Wrote papers for Blind Students in ‘Fergusson’ college • for ‘SevaSansthan’. 2. Volunteered for ‘B-plan’ Event in Melange’10 held in • VIT. • Capabilities 1. I can communicate with the people very well and solve their queries. • 2. I am able to work effectively in a noisy environment. Example 1 Continued

  7. OBJECTIVE • Graduate seeking for an on-campus job. • EDUCATION • San Jose State University, San Jose, CA Aug 2010-May2012 • Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (specialization VLSI) GPA- 3.5/4.0 • Kurukshetra University, India Aug2004-Jun2008 • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering GPA- 3.7/4.0 • RELEVANT COURSES • Digital System Design and Synthesis, Analog Integrated Circuits Design, Semiconductor devices , Probability Random Variables and Stochastic Processes, Linear Control Systems, SoC design and Verification using System Verilog, ASIC CMOS Design, Digital Design for DSP/ Communications. • SKILLS • Programming Languages: C,C++ and Verilog. • Simulation Tools: Cadence 6.0 , Synopsys VCS, Design Vision ,Silos, ModelSimPE Students Edition 10. • Operating System: Windows 95/98/XP/Vista/Windows 7, Linux. • Excellent communication and organization skills. • PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE • Organization: DELL International Services, India July2008-Aug2010 • Designation: Senior Technical Support Associate • Role: • Technical support for Desktop Computers and Notebooks along with networking Support.  • Part of process improvement team to make the resolutions more efficient and effective. 8. ACADEMIC PROJECTS • Design and verify the operation of a fully differential op-amp • A fully differential 2 stage operational amplifier with common mode feedback was designed with Cadence 6.0 using 45nm CMOS technology. The op-amp was specified to meet several specifications over process variations that include slow-slow, normal and fast-fast for PMOS and NMOS transistors. The various specifications given were Open Loop 3dB bandwidth, Closed Loop Unity gain bandwidth, Gain, Phase Margin, Power Dissipation, CMRR, PSRR, Slew Rate and Settling Time. • Design, Synthesize and Optimize 8bit Scalar Processor • The aim of this project was to design a simple 8 bit processor. The processor operates in following sequence. First, it fetches the instruction from the memory. It decodes the machine code and decides what function to be performed. After that it executes the instruction and stores the result in destination register and/or memory as suggested in specifications. Processor performs basic arithmetic operation like add, subtract, copy, jump, read, write, and activating the flags during arithmetic operations. The simulations were run on Synopsys Verilog Compiler and the synthesis and optimization was performed using the Synopsys Design Vision. • EPBAX-“The Intelligent System” • Designed a 10 line Electronic Private Automatic Branch Exchange • The microcontroller used was 89C51 which runs on a frequency of 3.579 Hz generated by a crystal oscillator. • Extra-Curricular Activities • Voluntary member of NGO-Lakshay, Was the Captain of College’s Soccer and Cricket team. Example 2 Continued

  9. What Next? • Initial Interview • On-Site Interview The Resume Worked

  10. The Initial Interview is normally done by HR. • Usually a phone interview • Evaluates your Commitment to the Company • Oral Communication Skills Initial Interview
