  2. The DVB “Multimedia Home Platform” (MHP) is an open standard specification for an interactive TV platform DVB-MHP overview

MHP-PDR specification • The DVB-TAM group is currently drafting an MHP-PDR specification: • Allows interactive TV applications (e.g. downloadable EPGs) to support PDR functionality • Provides access to TV-Anytime metadata and resolution services • iTV applications can schedule recordings, control playback etc • Target completion date: Jan ‘05

  4. MHP-PDR API structure “Common core" Recording APIs DVB Specific PVR APIs TV-Anytime APIs • DVB and OCAP are working towards a common, transport independent, Recording API • Technical work is close to convergence
