  1. DOUBLE BASE USAGE 1. If the batter-runner touches only the white and a play is made, treat it as missing the base and then it can be appealed. 2. If the ball is thrown from the foul side of the base or an errant throw pulls the defensive player into foul territory, then the runner or defensive player can use either. 3. If the batter-runner collides with the 1st baseman after touching only the white, and the fielder is about to catch a thrown ball while on the white, then interference is called.
