  2. The main goal of the project is preparation and creation of the Photographic Atlas consisting of the most widespread plants in modern vegetation cover of tundra zone and pollen which widely presented in quaternary deposits from the Arctic region .

  4. Collection and identification of herbarium Material for the creation of the atlas was collected in the framework of Russian-German expedition “Lena – 2009” and “Lena – 2010”. Herbarium collection site

  5. Preservation of the material collected: The pollen collected in tundra zone was preserved in field conditions applying test tubes with spirit solution.

  6. Laboratory processing: Pretreatment was carried in the laboratory of AWI Potsdam, Germany

  7. Processphotos: We had the opportunity to take photos with different cameras in different laboratories of Germany and Russia. We made up to 20 images for each species and then we selected the best of them.

  8. Selection of material and its arrangement: The final version of the Atlas includes some photos of plants andpollen, ecological description, location and presented in two languages, English and Russian
