  2. 1. Circle the correct word choice on the Homonym Self-Assessment Either write the definition or a sentence example of the other homonym choice. Little Red Book: read pp. 197 Do Exercise A. You only have to write the dependent clause

  3. For Third, Fourth, and Sixth Period • Write one sentence as a follow up to Laurie’s parents’ discovery. Use an absolute to describe an emotion they might have. • JOURNAL PROMPT: • Explain the difficulty of developing effective rising action in a personal narrative. • Comment on the effectiveness of Shirley Jackson’s rising action to its ironic ending.

  4. Using the Walter Campbell handout, write a short paragraph creating a picture of you as a kindergartener. Use at least three methods to SHOW us what you were like. Dialogue needs to be one of the methods.
