  10. COACHES TO DO LIST • What coaching levels are required for a coach • A practice location in a gym • Prepare team for fitting of uniforms • Registration forms must be collected (Manager) • Player books need to be completed (Manager)

  11. COACHES TO DO LIST • Tournaments need to be booked • Contact Eileen if you or Assist. Coach need coaching levels • Find a sponsor which is $600 • Your team needs to be activated on the ERSL website or SOSA website

  16. Making Ethical Decisions(MED) • Requiredfor Head Coachand Assistant • 2 Options: • SOSA will be hosting the MED • Web based learning • http://www.coachesontario.ca/calendar/ • Home study provided. Check the OSA website

RESPECT IN SOCCER (RIS) • Required for Head Coach and Assistant • RIS is an on-line module that takes approximately 2 hours to complete • Deadline to complete: April 15 • Can be found on two websites: • www.clipperssoccer.com • Under coaches tab- create your own password • https://ontariosoccer.respectgroupinc.com

REQUIRED FROM ALL COACHING STAFF Uniforms … • Submit to Eileen Nador: • full name, address and DOB for: • Coaches and assistant coaches • Managers • All coaches must have a CPIC: • online (www.police.kingston.on.ca ; opening page called Online Criminal Background Checks) OR • visit the Kingston Police Station • Submit a copy of your CPIC to Eileen Nador

  19. REQUESTING GYM AND FIELD TIME How do I request a gym time How do I request a practice field

  20. REQUESTING GYM TIME • If you need a gym to practice in please contact Eileen Nador. • The gyms that the club have rented are • Frontenac High School • KCVI • The cost to rent a gym for 1.5 hours is $40.00

  21. PRACTICE FIELDS • NB: NO team is allowed onANY city field before May 15th • City fine = $500.00 • Practice in a park that has a large grass area until May 15th

  22. Requesting Fields • ALL field request MUST be done through the club’s field scheduler (Dale Neal) • The field scheduler is contacted through the Clippers web page under the “Contact Us” link. The e-mail address isccscfields@cogeco.ca • Only use this email address

Requesting Fields: Rules for formatting the requests Subject Line: identifies the team and the request. • For example: • Clippers BU16R Cup Field Request • This would be the Boys U16 Regional Team requesting a Cup game • Clippers GU13DB Game 1234 Reschedule Rainout • This would be the Girls U13 Division 1, B team needing to reschedule game #1234 • Clippers BU11P Shield Field Request • This would be a Premier team sample. • Using the Clippers suffix will be needed when copying other teams

Requesting Fields: Rules for formatting the requests • Body of the Request: • Line 1: My team requires a field for a game on the one of these dates or between the following dates. • Line 2: Our regular night of play is: __________ • Line 3: Other dates or times that the team can’t be available around this request, tournaments etc. • Line other:information to make things clearer examples or enable communications. • For example: we would like to play on a weekend, can you call me at ### • Other special request, you can always ask, few promises. • Line Last: your name and position with the team

  25. PRACTICE • On bad weather days it will be the coaches responsibility NOT to damage the fields • PICK UP TRASH and respect the property after practices and games

  26. PRACTICE • Use good judgment in determining the number and the length of a practice Suggestion: • U9-U12: 2 practices / wk with the technical staff • U13/U14: 2 practices / wk with one practice option with technical staff • U15-open men’s: 2 practices / wk

  28. COMPETITIVE FEES FOR 2013 • U9-U12 development - $475.00 • U13-U18 (L3/L4/L5) - $475.00 • U21 FEE - $300.00 • MEN’S FEE - $350.00

  29. DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM • The development program is for players U7-U12 from our competitiveand house league programs • They practice 2 / wk for 1.5 hours • One practice will be on a turf field and the other on a grass field

  30. DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM • You have a technical staff assisting you to deliver your session • You will follow a matrix for 28 sessions but the plan will be your creation • Our Technical Director will be overseeing the whole program and available for guidance

WHAT YOU RECEIVE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT FEE(U9-U12) • $300.00 for team equipment • Two tournaments- One tournament up to $400.00 and the Ambassador Cup • Support from Technical Director and Staff • 2 practices per week for 14 weeks with one practice on a turf field with technical staff. • 6 - 8 Pre-season sessions on a turf field.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE FOR U13-U18 COMPETITIVE FEE • $300.00 for team equipment • Two tournaments- One tournament up to $400.00 and the Ambassador Cup • Support from the Technical Director • Regularly scheduled practice field • Pre-season sessions on a turf field that you share with amongst 3 team (6 sessions) • U13/14 teams received technical staff once a week for 14 weeks if needed

  33. WHAT YOU RECEIVE FOR U21and the Men’s • The club will only provide a practice field for these teams

  34. REGISTRATION How do players register How do I complete player books

REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS Registration forms can be found on the Clippers website www.clipperssoccer.com under “Competitive” link • Eileen would like both the registration forms and cheques submitted together if parents are paying by cheque • If paying on-line make sure you have parents download a copy for tax credit • Eileen will require a roster list with payment method included • Register team on ERSL/SOSA website • Collect player books and hand in complete set to Eileen

  36. COMPLETING THE PLAYER BOOK • Player Registration Books must be completed in full • Coaches are responsible to ensure it is completed before submission to the district office

  37. Completing the player book … • On the inside cover paste a passport sized picture of the player • Enter the player’s full name and date of birth in the spaces provided • ALL players MUST SIGN their book regardless of age

  38. Completing the Player Book … • Turn the page to the first unused documentation page as shown • Enter the sponsor name and age division • Enter ‘Cataraqui Clippers’ and club no. ‘1910’ • League is ‘ERSL’ U12 Manchester United 1910 Cataraqui Clippers ERSL

  40. UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT How do I order my team uniforms? How do I distribute numbers? How do I order spirit wear? Who do I pay for the spirit wear? When can I pick up my uniforms? What do I need to pick for equipment with my $300.00 credit?

  41. UNIFORMS • This year the club has gone with Adidas • FYI cost of full strip $100 • Steps: • Contact Eileen for sizing and sizing spread sheet • e-mail sizing list to Eileen when completed • Send sponsor artwork to Eileen (email) • Pickup uniforms at Soccer Plus • Allow 4-6 weeks

  42. Uniforms … • The cost of screening the numbers and crest onto the players’ jerseys and coaches’ shirts will be paid by the club • All other screening (player names and sponsor logo) will be invoiced to the individual teams.

  43. COST OF SCREENING • Number on shorts will be included • Name on the back of jersey $5.10 • Sponsor on jersey $5.10 • Clipper Logo $4.50 (for spirit wear or other) • ALL PRICES INCLUDE TAXES

POLICY FOR PICKING JERSEY NUMBERS • The jerseys are good for three years • Players that were on the team the previous year have first choice of numbers 1-18 • Players that are new and moving up pick the numbers that are left. • For new teams, I would suggest that you give 3 numbers to each player and try and accommodate one of their numbers

  45. Uniforms … IMPORTANT ORDERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR PICK UNTIL ALL PLAYERS HAVE PAID THEIR REGISTRATION IN FULL

  46. Spirit Wear • Spirit Wear ordering is up to individual teams this year • Contact Dave Mitchell at Soccer Plus for information and order forms • All Spirit Wear must be paid directly to Soccer Plus • IMPORTANT: Spirit Wear cannot be picked up until paid in full

  47. COACHING JERSEYS Each team will receive a free polo shirt for the head coach, assistant coach and manager (maximum of THREE shirts)

  48. $300 EQUIPMENT CREDIT • Each team will receive a $300 equipment credit redeemable ONLY for those items on the equipment order form • If you require game balls, corner flags or mandatory first aid kits you must purchase these items first • ONLY Adidas game balls may be purchased • ALL EQUIPMENT IS PROPERTY OF THE CATARAQUI CLIPPERS

  49. WHAT SHOULD I HAVE IN MY FIRST AID KIT • If you don’t want to buy a specific First-Aid kit you can make your own. • Here are the supplies you need: • Band-Aids • Wipes to clean a wound • Gauze to wrap a wound • Clothespins and 2 x 2’s for nose bleeds

  50. FIRST-AID KIT • Advil or Tylenol • YOU MUST HAVE PERMISSION FROM PARENT FIRST BEFORE ADMINISTERING • Some arm splints for breaks • Tensor bandage • ALWAYS BRING ICE TO THE GAME FOR INJURIES
