Project Objectives • To develop a common curriculum in Water Resources Management within Central Asian Universities • Establishment of Water Resources Management Center at each Partner country University (PCU) • Capacity building (teacher retraining, student mobility) • Regional Network – Sustainability • Dissemination • Quality Control & Monitorings November 15-18, 2011, KNU, Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan

Status of the new MSc Program • Approval by Ministry of higher Education in July 2011 • Approved by University 29.08.2011 • New students examined and total 11 has been accepted • Approval and Publication by special Center for further use (26.09.2011) • New teaching materials are being developed and taught • Valid for 5 years November 15-18, 2011, KNU, Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan

Cooperation with Enterprise • Students will go for practical internships to GIZ, International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources • GIZ, IWMI and Governmental Water Resource Organizations provide with up to date report and information • Students together with Professors write proposals for scientific scholarships • Thesis work

  15. Teacher retraining. Study visits to EU partners • 2 teachers has been trained in Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland • 2 teachers has been trained in Slovak Technological University in Bratislava • All re trained teachers are responsible for teaching material development • Discussed about new teaching material development • Guest lectures for Uzbekistan November 15-18, 2011, KNU, Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan

Establishment of WRM Centers • Formal Orders by rectors of the Universities • Appointment of responsible person (Boltayev-TIIM, Urishev-KEEI) • Allocation of Premises by TIIM & KEEI • Effective from Sep 2011 • Installation of Computers for teaching staff and students • Furnished and course developers together with students are using the facilities November 15-18, 2011, KNU, Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan
